 | 5 Stand Range
5 Stand is a condensed form of Sporting Clays, providing the same types of target presentations but without the walk. Trap machines are positioned around the course presenting the targets as incoming, going away, left and right crossing and fly high overhead or low to the ground like a rabbit bouncing.
Targets are released in a predetermined set sequence as shown on the menu cards located in front of each shooting station.
The North 5 Stand has 8 different Pro-matic machines. Depending on the menu chosen and whether targets are thrown on report or true pairs this course is suitable for beginners to advanced shooters and allows over 200 possible target presentations. Each station provides a slightly different angle on the target. Clays targets can be going away, incoming, left and right crossing or a bouncing rabbit. To keep you on your toes we are always changing angles, speeds and distances of the traps.
Each squad of 5 Stand shooters will have a Trapper who will explain the course and rules, throw the targets for you, answer questions, score and ensure your comfort and safety. Complimentary snacks, beverages and hot coffee are always provided as a courtesy for our guests.
12, 20 & 28ga Shotgun rentals available.
Keith “Hap” Blackmer is running the 5-stand on Sundays! Hap has been shotgunning since the age of nine. He began competing in ATA at the age of 15. 5-stand is Hap’s favorite. Hap has been in Bend since 1998. Previously he was a member of The Golden Bears Trap Club, The Southgate Rod and Gun Club, North American Skeet and Trap Club, The Bend Trap Club and The Redmond Rod and Gun Club. We feel Hap’s experience and expertise will be an asset to the club. | |
